YOUR LIFE IS HID LESSON FIVE: YOUR LIFE IS HID LESSON FIVE:

Sitting: Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

There are two different Greek words in the text used to describe sitteth. In the original it would read something like this…”where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. sitteth things above, Set your affections not on things of the earth. Affection means to exercise your mind intensely to bring about a positive Christ life outcome in your life.

Christ sitteth on the right hand of God…Our savior is the position of complete authority, power and rest. When someone is sitting they are supported by something other than themselves. They are not working or performing other tasks. Christ has a sit down job. He is waiting for his enemies to become his foot stool. Sitting at the right hand of God signifies that all power and authority is invested in him. It does not signify that there are two entities sitting on two different thrones. Christ is manifested as the right hand of God just as the Holy Spirit is the invisible God manifested in the earth and living in all believers. Christ is the expressed essence of the Father. If you have seen me you have seen the Father. The Father and I are one. Hear oh Israel the Lord thy God is one God.

God is light! It does not mean that there is light and God. It is an expression to bring about understanding of the nature of God. God is Love. It does not mean that there is a person love it means that the being God is love. Jesus is the expressed purpose and image of God in his person. God sent himself in the form of Jesus Christ to reconcile the world unto him. He is the God that is, was and is to come. Do you seek for another? This is a mystery for it is the sum total of our experience in God. John 17, Jesus prays that they may be one even as we are one. Our mind becomes clear when we see ourselves as one with Christ in God. Our experience develops once we understand that our life is hid with Christ in God. We are not striving to reach a position or hoping to attain to a place greater than anyone else. We have been caught-up into Christ in God. Set, is the equivalent of sitting. We may not understand all things but all things are delivered to us by Christ. We are not standing in the earth trying to attain heaven. We are in heaven where sitteth things above allowing us to partake of his divine nature. We have no need for long arms to reach up into heaven. We have near arms of faith that allows us to embrace the living God in the person of Jesus Christ.

He has made and he is making intercession for us to the Father. He is actively participation in our salvation (the development of himself in us) and he is God carrying out our redemption for he is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the beginning and the end the Alpha and the omega, the author and finisher of our faith. He is the active person, place and thing working on our behalf to create the fullness of the Godhead within our person. He is not making replicas of himself, or little idols or toys of himself. He is developing himself in us. Note, as he is so are we in this world. Now we are the sons of God! Now we have his thoughts working in us. His mind is maturing in our minds. It does not yet appear but we shall be like him as he is. Appear means we will manifest his attributes. Like means we shall be in the similitude of his character.

This is made possible because now we are the sons of God. We are not trying to become sons we are his sons. We are not striving in the flesh to become a son of God or working to prove our status in Christ is more than someone else. We are not in competition with man or with Jesus…we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them, Eph. 2:10. We are not working to be righteous but we work because we are righteous. We are not working to be pure we have been made pure and therefore we live righteously. Our life is hid in Christ that we might manifest the man Christ Jesus. Do you see, the man, in manifest is Jesus?

1John3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Do you see it? We are not made pure by what we DO! We are made pure by the hope that is in us. Hope is the person of Jesus Christ. We have this hope living in us. He is the treasure in our earthen vessels. He is the power, the excellence and the authority working in us so everything will be him and not us. How else can you be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless? Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2Peter 3:14
