YOUR LIFE IS HID: LESSON FOUR

Col.3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. The word glory is best described as the outward manifestation of the excellence contained within God, the place where our life is hid. Revelation 4 captures various aspects of God’s expression from His throne. Rev.4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. Rev. 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. John saw and described in words the outward manifestation of God. For example, he uses lamps to describe Spirits. What he saw were various aspects of God’s outward glory shining in a way he could comprehend within his mind. What he saw in his thoughts given to him by God he expressed in words.

All that John describes are the very thoughts that God was revealing of his greatness. These thoughts were personified and revealed in the form of seven spirits, the elders, the crystal sea, the four beasts and all that is described in chapter 4. God takes many forms. But all his forms are the expressions of his inner most substances which he purposes to make known to his people. Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

The mystery is that the Son reveals God. The Son is the expressed image of God. Heb.1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; This is where our life is hid. If our life is hid in Christ and God then will we give voice and express the image of God. For everything contained in God shall be revealed in and through us. Our divine purpose is to express the brightness of his glory and person.

This is how we are changed. 2Cor.3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Among its many meanings change also means to be transfigured. Transfigured is the process and operations of becoming spirit or appearing even as Christ appears. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Written in Revelation 1 is an appearing of Chirst.

Rev.1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

1John3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
