Job 36:27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: 28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. 29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle? (KJV)
Job 36:27 He draws up the water vapor and then distills it into rain, 28 which the skies pour down. 29 Can anyone really understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunders within? (LB)
Job 36:27 "He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; 28 the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. 29 Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion? (NIV)
Note the beautiful imagery that Elihu gives us as he describes the process of rain. The water from the earth is drawn up into the clouds collected together and return to the earth as rain. He says it is according to the vapor collected that determines the amount of rain. This process can be seen when the heavy rain clouds spread over the sky but who can really understand it? When the clouds burst forth and the lightening is let go the noisy thunder of his tabernacle is heard thoughout the area.
This imagery is better understood when we compare the vapor that goes up to the amount of praise we bring forth as a collective body of believers. If there is no praise there is no vapor nor is there rain. Therefore, our praise is like small drops of water, which God collects in the clouds. I see the praise as the small drops, the clouds represents the presence of the Lord and the abundant showers is his out pouring upon the earth. The process is simple; the more high praises of God in our mouth the more the abundance of his presence and the more of his presence the more of his benefits in our midst. The more reason will have to dance before the Lord in joy. We will truly be the people of the joyful sound. And Elijah said ...get thee up, eat and drink for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
Who can understand the noise of his tabernacle? We can when we see we are his tabernacle full of high praises causing the rain of God upon our lives. David had a heart after God and his mouth was full of praise and singing. Upon his harp he brought forth the Psalms of praise in abundance. Note the word dance in abundance. David has given us a key to lead us to more of the presences of his Spirit in our midst and lives. We can bring forth sweet water from the springs in our inner most being for out of our bellies shall flow living water. Our praise will bless God and bring forth healing rains for the earth. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Heb. 13:15
Is it not time to blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm from his tabernacles? Send the high praises unto God from our mouths. We send the praise and He sends the rain yes, the early and the latter rain. Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:7
