The male and female singing can be compared to the Song of Solomon. In this book you will hear and discover the love between the King and his slave girl. It is not the writer's intent to complete a dissertation on this book but he wants to point out that the conversations in this book are very intimate and beautiful. Their love words rise to a crescendo of worship and adoration. Of course in the congregation singing these words would be directed to the Lord and not each other. Listen to some of the words of love; Song 1:1 The song of songs, which is Solomon's. 2. Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. Song 2:8 The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. Song 2:1. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. Who can understand the noise of the tabernacle? It is a mystery found in the Psalms, which teaches us to war, praise and respond to our Lord.
Ps.22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. This is the spirit of the Lord speaking and telling us what he will do in the midst of us his congregation. Imagine and understand what is being revealed at this moment in your heart. For, our praise will rise even more when we realize that the high praises of God in our mouth will open the door of his presence in us and we will give voice to his declaring, singing and praising through us. Ps.149:2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Israel means he will rule with God. Yes, we know Israel is a place, person and nation. But do we see that Israel represents God’s people who rule. So let those who rule with God praise him. Can you see the authority God places in his people? If someone is ruling it means they have the power and ability to rule. We represent the true Israel, which is above and not below. In our praise is the absolute reality and understanding that God rules the universe and he has chose us to rule with him. With our Praise we acknowledge his authority and power over our own lives and the entire earth. This is how we can rejoice before the Lord for we are not confused as to who is the ruler of the world. Acknowledging his authority places us in a place of authority.
The word “let” is not in the original. Rejoice Israel in him that made you. Hear the Spirit say to you that he made you. You did not make yourself. You are really a new creature. We are a new species made and created by the Lord. Made (asah) means the following: bestow, advance, appoint, become and bruise. Therefore, we rejoice before our Lord, who has bestowed, advanced, appointed, bruised us and we are becoming more like Christ. We are sons (Ben) of Zion, the place of his absolute authority and the location of his throne. We are the voice of the wilderness; we are the voice of his tabernacle; we are the voice of the bride and the bridegroom; we are the voice of joy and gladness; we are the voice of the messengers that declare He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit saith to the churches; we are the voice of his temple bringing forth the high praises of God in our mouth.
Surely, we see, hear and sense the value of our worship as a collective body of believers presenting ourselves with the fruit of our lips the love and adoration of our heavenly Father. How can we keep silent knowing he will inhabit our praises and his voice as the sound of many waters? Rev.15, Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet...
Rev. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
