  SOUNDS:

There are sounds the human ear cannot hear.
Can one hear a flower grow or a leaf fall?
The fire from a candle burns but who can hear it?
The sun glows and its heat is felt, where is the sound?
The acorn pushes its way through the soil into a tree
Vibrating its way to be seen by all but not heard.
The grass in the meadow stands tall but silent
And the night passes by with out a stir.
The moon can be seen but where is the voice?
The earth rotates quietly its orbit day by day
And the stars sparkle in the sky.
But my love for you is never silent.
Can you hear the sound of my love
Like the gentle cooing of a dove?

OTHER SOUNDS:

There are sounds I love to hear,
Whispers of love in my ear
A gentle breeze through the leaves
A flower pedal to the ground
A feather floating in the air
The warm cooing of love
The song of a turtle dove
The wrestling of a robin’s nest
The sound the blanket makes
When tucking a child into bed.
And the hope of all the earth.
But the sound I love the most
Is when I hear you say,
“I love you even more today.”
