A MOUNTAIN VIEW: BY JOANNE CAIN A MOUNTAIN VIEW: BY JOANNE CAIN

Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same the Lords name is to be praised.

On a crisp but sunny morning this verse came to the forefront of my day. Opening a porthole, a gate of journey and with it an overwhelming sense of rest, with the witness it stirred within.

Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper theft a two-edged sword piercing even dividing asunder of soul and spirit; and the joints, and marrow and is the discemer of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Looking at the word "rise" I was amazed to find, to awaken, to stand, to begin the day, climb go up the mount, to flood, increase and growth. It also leads to thrive, prosper and take flight or soar. Bringing into play:

1Cor. 16:13 stand fast in the faith, Eph. 6:13 having done all stand. Isa. 40:31 they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength...

Yet for me, returning to that place of quiet requires something beyond what I can attain while it is promised...lsa. 30:15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy one of Israel. In returning and in rest shall ye be saved, in quietness and in confidence; shall be your strength.... and ye would not. Reminding me again of the need to breathe in the beauty of the moment.

Psalm 91:1-3 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord he is my refuge and my fortress My God in whom I will trust.

Trust what a necessary component in a true relationship...In Webster's Thesaurus it speaks of confidence, reliance, faith, conviction, assurance belief and protection.

James 1:17 Every good gift and perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is: no variableness nor shadow of turning.

2Chron.7:14 If my people shall humble themselves and pray and my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. 15 now my eyes shall be open and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Raising another question: just what is the change that is most needed? Looking further I became so aware...that I was being wooed to move deeper within.

Acts 17:28 For only in him do we live and move and have our being Knowing this I again saw the key to faith as being in the hearing. Rom.10:17 and that just as James any wisdom I was lacking could only come from crying out to God. James 1:5 nor could trust come to a place of fullness.

Matt.7:7 Ask and it shall be given you seek and ye shall find Knock and it shall be open to you.

Ask: inquire, question, demand, require, expect, entreat, implore, ask after and encourage. Reminding me of: Rev.3:20: For behold I stand at the door and knock ...if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in to him and sup with him...and he with me.

lsa.59:19 So they shall fear the lord from the west And the glory from his rising sun when the enemy shall come in like a flood the spirit of the LORD will raise a standard.

Creating a...who, what, when, where...who will lift the “standard?” Note the wording "the Spirit" of the Lord. Isa. 11:1-3 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit; of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear Lord.

Leaving only one verse left to make my journey here complete: 1Cor.2:9-10 As it is written; Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things that God hath; prepared for them that love Him.

Revelation 3:19 He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
