APOSTLE CHAPTER 4: PART ONE APOSTLE CHAPTER 4: PART ONE

Heb. 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Everything starts with Jesus for he is the genuine visible personage of the invisible God. He is the first begotten son. He is superior to all living creatures. All things were made through him and he is the only source of life. In him all things live and without him there is no life. It was his blood that was shed, poured out and brought into the Holy of Holies to be offered once and for all. By the application of his blood both the tabernacle and the ministries are made clean. Yes, the shedding of his blood brought the remission of our sins. He has purged our dead conscious and made us accepted in the beloved. He did not appear in figure or in shadow, nor did he enter in a place made with hands. Jesus entered into the heavens and appeared before the presence of God for us. He opened for us the access of to the Father through his shed blood. He communicated to the Father that we were his brethren and he was not a shamed to call us his brothers. Yes, our brother shed his blood, purged our sins became our High Priest and the Apostle of our faith.

Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And he opened the book, and found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, To-day hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.

All these things Jesus performed in the thirty years before he went to the cross. He was conscious of his purpose in completing the perfect will of his Father. He demonstrated by his life that the scriptures spoke of him and we could go to him for eternal life. He showed through the scriptures it had already been written concerning him so that the prophets witnessed, God confirmed and his life concluded without a doubt that truly Jesus is the son of God. He was established by two or more witnesses. Yet, let us note that this scripture was quoted from the prophet Isaiah only in part by the Lord.

Isa. 61:2-2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD...The Lord closed the book here but the rest of the scripture reads… and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolation, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolation's of many generations. There is still a day left to complete the rest of this scripture. The Lord left this part in order for his body to complete. Yes, it is still day and it is time for us to work the works of God. It is written in the volume of the book they will be a people willing in the day of his power. As we read this scripture we clearly see that the day of vengeance of our God will comfort, appoint, give and clothe the trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord so he may be glorified. This is a far cry from the total annihilation of the world. The day of his glory manifested by the trees will build, raise and repair all the desolation of the past and future. Our Apostle and High Priest was sent by God; he sent his Apostles; they have sent us to proclaim the manifestation of the sons of God in the earth. The day of vengeance of our God is here.

We are his ambassadors, members of his celestial council. See how the Lord has prepared us. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. He has made us new creatures or a new species, a people who are not like other humans. We have reconciled our past identity and received a new identity through his word. All things for us are made new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ... We have no axe to grind nothing of the past controls us for we have peace with God and with man. We are no longer controlled by human ambition or greed. We do not want to lord over or control others for our own means. Our motivation comes from Jesus Christ who has made us new and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation... as a result of our union with Christ he has given us an opportunity to serve the locus, the word of reconciliation the divine expression that is announcing and breaking the silence to all who will hear, “There is divine favor from God to every person.”

God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men's sins against them but blotting them out. Our message is clear; we are announcing the very word that has brought us into union with Christ. We are telling others what we have experienced. God has granted us his favor and we are simply sharing what he has given us. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. IICorinthians 5:15-21. KJV,LB

An Apostle by definition is one sent out on a mission and set apart for specific service; he is a delegate or ambassador sent out to represent the sender and is given power and authority to do so. He is an official commissioner of Christ sent to build the church of Christ. As we study Jesus as an Apostle we note he never built a physical structure nor did he set himself up with a place of ministry in any given locality for a long period of time. He found places to minister on mountains, in cities, in fields and even in the temple. He simply taught the multitudes the Kingdom of God. He was the precise representation of God, the fullness of the Godhead bodily and he was sent to do the will of his Father. This Apostle was sent to the lost house of Israel but he sent his twelve Apostles to Jerusalem and to the utter most parts of the earth.

No one can take Jesus place for he is the chief corner stone of his church. It is to this profession we have been called. We have not been called to build our own kingdom or set up places of worship by the hand or name of man. This is the call of everyone who names the name of Jesus whether they are Apostles or some other gift to the church. There is only one building being built and that is in the form of his body. This is a spiritual house made without hands. The Lord preached in synagogues but he did not build one. He preached in the temple but he did not build one for he was the temple of God. We are his builders building the spiritual house in three days. We are now in the third day building his tabernacle. There is no building named Jesus and no religion called Jesus. He was faithful in all his house performing God’s perfect will. We are to consider this for this is our profession.

The word profession means divine expression, the quality of speaking the logos of God and bringing forth the rhema of the word of God. It is speaking the words of the Father from his throne. This word is the express image or identical word that Jesus spoke, the creative word of God that framed the worlds. God has ordained this Apostleship in the earth today to bring forth his churches in every city. The word “consider” means to exercise the mind, to comprehend divine thought, feeling and will. It implies that we take action that expresses our profession. Therefore we can speak with understanding and clearly distribute with great intensity our calling and profession. Our profession is to consider building according and in like manner as Jesus, Who was Faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. Oh Glory, the high calling is made plain by our High Priest. We are to build his church according to the rhema of his locus. We are his building fitly framed together. Wherefore holy brothers partakers of the holy calling walk in the works prepared for you before the foundation of the earth. Let the reality of what the spirit is saying to you become your profession. You did not choose this way, man did not anoint you. You have been called by the spirit of God to build his church. What great honor has been bestowed on us who are the called out ones. This is our profession, our divine expression as holy unto the Lord. We comprehend divine thought, feeling and will and exercise our life before the Lord in order to build his church. This honor have all his saints. the voice 1998
